About the Company

We are looking for an Outside Sales Account Executive responsible for marketing and selling ocean transportation services in the assigned region. The primary responsibility is to develop, manage, and execute day-to-day activities with existing and new customers to secure business for the import/export trade lanes in the PNW region. This position reports to the Regional Sales Director and works closely with Sales Management and Commercial Teams to achieve sales targets and KPI.

About the Role

The Outside Sales Account Executive will be responsible for developing and managing customer relationships while driving sales in the PNW region.

Responsibilities :

\n
• Develop and manage TPWB, TPEB, TAWB, and TAEB Out-bound and In-bound trades (Reefer and Dry) to generate maximum profit.
\n
• Regularly make in-person visits to new and existing customers to develop and maintain account base. Minimum 8 F2F meetings per week.
\n
• Utilize CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tools for sales leads, targets, and related client information.
\n
• Proactively find new ways to acquire new customers.
\n
• Manage assigned customer and budget base.
\n
• Pursue and secure business in line with corporate and regional objectives within the market segment.
\n
• Negotiate rates and build relationships with the customer base.
\n
• Meet and exceed sales targets and KPI (Key Performance Indicator) set by management- monthly, quarterly, and yearly targets.
\n
• Keep abreast of and inform management of market trends and account activities.
\n
• Build relationships with internal counterparts including pricing, operations, and other teams to collaborate.
\n
• Communicate regularly with overseas offices to meet international customer requirements.
\n
• Attend weekly meetings and prepare weekly pre-plan and post-plans.
\n
• Performs other duties as assigned.
\n

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
\n

• Minimum 2 years of outside sales in ocean transportation.
\n
• A team player with a positive attitude.
\n
• Ambitious and proactive.
\n
• Professional and personable demeanor.
\n
• Excellent verbal and written communications.
\n
• Ability to network and build rapport with external customers and internal counterparts.
\n
• Proficient with MS Office suite and CRM.
\n
• Must have valid driver’s license and willing to travel.
\n
• The candidate will domicile in Seattle / Tacoma area.
\n
