We produce and supply premium food to high profile UK grocery retailers, the food service sector and other UK and global customers.We are currently recruiting for Line Leaders to be based in our Retail Production department at our Preston site, our primary Pork facility within the Hull and East Riding region. With significant ongoing investment and expansion, this presents an opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, forward-thinking site with plenty of scope to contribute and develop. This position will suit candidates with team leader experience within food factory/fast moving consumer goods environment.Main Duties Include (but not limited to):Effectively manage packing area and operatives within area of responsibilitySupport attainment of production targets as directed by the Supervisors and Managers, with the ability to motivate and develop to encourage maximum productivityEnsure that lost production time is kept to a minimumPre-operational start up checks; including controlled documents, equipment check sheets, fabrication sheets, hygiene standards and line labour managementUnderstand hourly performance vs target, identify issues and deliver actions to ensure that performance targets are achievedConduct CCP checks relevant to the area being worked in and report any none-conformances through the proper processesSupport onboarding of new starters to achieve succession in their roleActing as a product specific expert where appropriate, working with other departments and disciplines in a manner to share and train own knowledgeYou Will Have:Experience in a similar role: Factory / Warehouse Team Leader, Supervisor, skilled Production Operative experiencePrevious experience of fast moving consumer goods manufacturing (preferably food related)Proven track record of leading a teamComfortable working in a fast-paced environment to meet daily targetsGood understanding of good hygiene and safetyProblem solving skillsExcellent communication skillsWhat We Offer:Job stability at a growing and expanding companyCommitment to progression and personal development through department specific training matrixWeekly payTime and a quarter pay for overtime20 days annual leave entitlement (inclusive of bank holidays)New canteen with freshly made breakfast and lunch optionsPurchase company shares via discounted share schemeCompany pension scheme - up to 10% employer contributionAccess to retail discount app, bike to work scheme, health and wellbeing platformA full job description is available upon request.Please apply on Indeed or submit your CV and Cover Letter to: [email protected]If you are an internal applicant, please ensure you have made your line manager aware before applying and confirm this when submitting your application.
