GPI Power supplies diesel and gas generator sets up to 200 kW for a wide range of standby and prime-power applications. Role Overview

\n

GPI Power is hiring Regional Sales Managers to develop the Olympian generator business across selected U.S. territories.

\n

Available territories include:

\n

• Texas
\n
• New England
\n
• Mid-Atlantic
\n
• Great Lakes and Ohio Valley
\n

\n

The Texas position will be based at GPI Power’s Houston headquarters and will work on-site while covering the broader Texas market, including Houston, Dallas, San Antonio and other cities.

\n

The New England, Mid-Atlantic, and Great Lakes and Ohio Valley positions will be remote within their assigned territories. Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the territory they will manage.

\n

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for developing sales through a combination of qualified channel partners and direct relationships with electrical contractors, EPC companies, engineering firms, consultants, developers, and end users. The role requires strong knowledge of the regional power-generation market and a hands-on approach to territory development.

Key Responsibilities

\n

• Develop and execute a regional business plan aligned with GPI Power’s U.S. growth objectives.
\n
• Build market awareness and establish Olympian as a dependable generator brand within the assigned territory.
\n
• Identify, evaluate, appoint, and develop qualified dealers, distributors, and service-capable channel partners.
\n
• Prioritize strong channel partners that can actively develop the market, maintain appropriate inventory, and share the working-capital requirements of regional growth.
\n
• Develop direct sales opportunities with electrical contractors, EPC companies, engineering firms, consultants, developers, utilities, and commercial and industrial customers.
\n
• Build a healthy sales pipeline across standby and prime-power applications.
\n
• Identify regional market opportunities, customer segments, projects, competitors, and pricing trends.
\n
• Develop relationships with key decision-makers and maintain consistent customer and partner engagement.
\n
• Prepare and support quotations, proposals, commercial negotiations, and order closures.
\n
• Work closely with Engineering, Operations, Service, and Supply Chain teams to ensure customer requirements are properly addressed.
\n
• Support dealer onboarding, product training, sales development, and ongoing channel performance.
\n
• Coordinate customer visits, project discussions, technical presentations, and factory or product demonstrations when required.
\n
• Maintain accurate opportunity, customer, and sales activity information in the company’s CRM system.
\n
• Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports, market intelligence, and competitor updates.
\n
• Participate in trade shows, conferences, dealer meetings, and other regional business-development activities.
\n
• Support aftermarket opportunities, including spare parts, maintenance agreements, and service-related sales.
\n
• Achieve agreed revenue, margin, customer-acquisition, pipeline, and channel-development targets.
\n

Qualifications

\n

\n
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant sales or business-development experience in power generation, generator sets, industrial engines, electrical equipment, distributed energy, or related technical products.
\n
• Demonstrated experience managing a sales territory and delivering measurable revenue growth.
\n
• Strong understanding of diesel and/or gas generator sets, standby power, prime power, or related power solutions.
\n
• Experience developing dealers, distributors, manufacturer representatives, or other channel partners.
\n
• Experience generating direct business through electrical contractors, EPC companies, engineering firms, consultants, developers, or end users.
\n
• Established relationships within the assigned regional power-generation market are strongly preferred.
\n
• Strong commercial judgment and experience with pricing, proposals, negotiations, forecasting, and pipeline management.
\n
• Ability to work independently and build a territory in a growing organization.
\n
• Strong communication, presentation, relationship-management, and negotiation skills.
\n
• Experience using CRM and sales-management platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or an equivalent system.
\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Sales, or a related discipline is preferred. Equivalent relevant industry experience will also be considered.
\n
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
\n
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
\n

Compensation

\n

GPI Power offers a highly competitive compensation package consisting of a base salary and a performance-based incentive opportunity. Final compensation will depend on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, territory, and demonstrated industry track record.
